Turnaround confirmed: IWA Outdoor Classics 2023 leaves its mark, attracting 34.000 trade visitors to Nuremberg

An entire sector is growing: IWA Outdoor Classics 2023 can confirm a remarkable turnaround over the past four days, with frenetic activity and an inspiring atmosphere in a total of nine exhibition halls. Around 1.100 exhibitors attracted 34.000 trade visitors from 119 countries to Nuremberg. In the process, IWA OutdoorClassics impressively confirmed its position as the leading trade fair for global trade in the fields of hunting, shooting sports, outdoor activities and security. Conditions could not have been better for the start of the IWA OutdoorClassics jubilee year, which turns 50 next year.

IWA 2023 | “Four wonderful days.” This was the first feedback from Thomas Preutenborbeck, a member of the board of directors of the NürnbergMesse GmbH, immediately after the last day of the fair. “The entire industry, which has supported us over the years and thus safeguarded its territory, can collectively be very pleased with this powerful and successful comeback of the IWA OutdoorClassics!” he adds, addressing specific thanks to all those who have remained faithful to the concept of IWA Outdoor Classics and helped make it happen. Preutenborbeck is particularly pleased with the numerous “positive feedback discussions with exhibitors and the large number of satisfied trade visitors”. He is confident that "there are now the foundations for a successful future".

Three winners ofIWA Knife Award have been selected this year in the new BLADE Demo Area. Manufacturas Muela is very satisfied with its victory in the "Preferred by professional visitors" category. First place in the “Innovation” category went to Laguiole en Aubrac. And the title in the "Classic" segment went to Otter Messer. A total of around 20 products competed in each category. The winner in each case was selected by a six-member judging panel.

All eyes are already on the future: next year, manufacturers, retailers and opinion leaders from across the industry will gather for the XNUMXth anniversary of IWA Outdoor Classics in Nuremberg. “IWA has achieved Gold status,” says Preutenborbeck. "We will build on the euphoria to work with our customers and partners to put together a suitable jubilee program."
