How the events unfolded
A very particular story that could make jurisprudence. The Veneto Region will have to compensate a boy hit by a wild boar a year and a half ago while he was aboard his scooter and dealing with many material and physical consequences. The facts refer to December 2021, when the young man was traveling along a provincial road in Rovolon, in the province of Padua. He was on the road with his moped to reach an internship, when an ungulate suddenly crossed the road.
The legal appeal
The boy was just 16 years old and the impact caused serious damage to the vehicle, but also bruises of various kinds. The parents have decided to proceed through the legal channels, in order to obtain compensation for the damages suffered. At that point there was the most classic blame game.
According to the Veneto Region, the responsibility lay entirely with the Province of Padua due to the lack of road signs to signal the crossing of wild animals. In reality, the responsible body is always the Region, among other things in this case the dispute was resolved out of court, without there being any need to appeal to the judge.
